Week 3 Team communication Challenges Conversation

The purpose of this assignment is to provide students an opportunity to apply communication theories and research to actual business situations. The discussion with other learning team members is designed to identify and consider different perspectives.
Assignment Steps
Read Case 2: Global Shared Services, McDonald’s Corporation, located in Mastering Leadership.
Discuss in your learning team the communications and group behavioral issues that might arise in an organization that hires employees for their first job. Each member must post at least two substantive comments (minimum 350 words each) to the learning team discussion area.
Note: Grades are awarded based upon individual contributions to the Learning Team assignment. Each Learning Team member receives a grade based upon his/her contributions to the team assignment. Not all students may receive the same grade for the team assignment.

In hiring an employee for their first job it can be quite challenging. The employee is learning expectations from the company and effective ways to communicate. Lack of communication skills can lead to a negative company culture. Communication is necessary to build trust from colleagues and managers in the company. Inadequate communication, can cause projects not being done correctly, work being duplicated, or the final project not fulfilling expectations. This is caused by the employee or management not clarifying what needed to be done and or asking questions. New hire and companies may have different priorities. All goals should be clearly stated so new hires can operate at their highest level of productivity.
